This Culturally Inspired NYC Concept is an Entire Vibe
Noble Promise, Peace and Parmesan curate one-of-a-kind culinary events to merge diverse audiences throughout the city.
Sakari Smithwick and Moshe Douglas became friends in culinary school. And while Smithwick had gone on to work at world-class restaurants like Marea and Eleven Madison Park, he shared the same fashion sense as Douglas, who works as a graphic artist.
With that, Peace and Parmesan was born, a streetwear-inspired lifestyle line featuring clothing, home decor, and even air fresheners for the car.
The company is one of the driving forces behind Noble Promise, a culinary pop-up experience created by Smithwick. It’s an adventurous concept that combines the top-notch hospitality experience he acquired at Marea and Eleven Madison Park, his childhood memories of Southern and Caribbean cuisines, and the hip cultural vibe he creates with Douglas.
The partners give me a taste of what to expect at one of their events during this FEASTS AND FASHION podcast episode. They love that they’re exposing their audiences to fly, new experiences. Also, check out the videos below as Smithwick talks about how two of his signature desserts, a mayonnaise cake and “Brown Sugar,” came to fruition.
You can listen to a new FEASTS AND FASHION episode on your favorite podcast platform every Friday.
