Chicago Restaurant Week returns, and it’s better than ever with more than 340 participants throughout Chicagoland. We have the details.
With Chicago Restaurant Week officially underway, food enthusiasts have the chance to eat their way through the city, and surrounding suburbs, with some great deals until April 10.
To get an idea of what to expect and how to navigate it like a pro, we chatted with two restaurants participating in the 15th-annual festivities on the LIVE! Culinary Series. Jeff Lawler, co-founder of Geja’s and a veteran of CRW since its inception, and Louie Yu, executive chef at Chalet and a first-timer, joined mixologist Lynn House and me to talk about the three-course offerings at their respective establishments.
From luscious skewers of roasted meats and veggies at Chalet to the infamous chocolate and cheese fondue presentations at Geja’s, the restaurants aim for diners to leave not hungry.
Also during the fun-filled episode, Lynn House featured her final honorees for Women’s History Month. She showcased two original cocktails paying homage to Latina icons Rita Hayworth and Friday Kahlo.
